Folklore makers residency

from July 2016 until July 2017 I was part of residency of local makers and designers at Folklore, which is a homeware shop in the old brewery yard in Falmouth.

Folklore was a space separate to our usual working lives, where we could slow down and challenge our processes. Through collaboration, discussion and an open dialogue with the falmouth community we aimed to improve as makers and creative thinkers.

Basically I hung out with my mates and did loads of chatting. It was great to get out the workshop, I felt like my social skills were waning and working in a shop one day week for year was a great was to improve my ability to talk to people I didn't know.

The residency was made up of Francli Craftwear, Ochre tuesdays, Sarah Johnson and myself.
